Pet Surgeons Charlotte
Surgery is performed at our hospital multiple times daily. Procedures are varied and range from spay and neuter procedures to abscess, laceration repair and lump removals. Other procedures include GI surgery for removal of ingested foreign bodies (i.e socks, bones, rocks), urinary bladder stone removal and orthopedic surgery for bone fractures or cruciate ligament (ACL) repair.
Surgeries are performed under sterile conditions using cap, gown and mask. Trained technicians monitor our patients while under anesthesia using sophisticated and specialized equipment. The safest anesthetic gases (isoflurane & sevoflurane) known to veterinary medicine are used at our hospital. Every precaution is taken to insure a safe and positive outcome for each and every patient.
- Spaying/Neutering — De-sexing your cat or dog removes the risk of unwanted pregnancies, and may sometimes decrease aggressive personality traits in some animals. Research shows that spaying or neutering a pet may also lead to fewer risky health problems in older cats and dogs.
- Dentistry & Oral Surgery — If left unmanaged, bad breath, tooth decay, and gum disease will cause severe health difficulties in your aging pet. Stoney Creek Animal Hospital offers the latest in preventative, diagnostic, and surgical dental care for your pet. We also have the most modern technologies, such as our in-house digital x-ray machine, to quickly and effectively diagnose and treat any dental condition.
- Orthopedic — Orthopedic surgeries include ACL & joint repair, bone resetting, and many other invasive and difficult internal procedures. The need for orthopedic procedures usually increases with age, as your pet grows older and often begins developing difficultly with daily activities.
- Soft Tissue Surgery — Soft Tissue surgeries may include a variety of corrective procedures, many of which are relatively low-risk and require minimal post-op recovery time.
