Ultrasound & Radiology

Radiology (X-rays) helps our veterinarians evaluate a variety of organ systems. Radiographs are important in assessing bones and joints for such problems as arthritis and fractures, heart and lungs for cardiac failure or pneumonia, urinary system for kidney stones and the intestinal tract for foreign bodies. These are just a few of the problems evaluated using our digital x-ray system.

Ultrasound is another method of imaging internal structures. It gives us very different information than x-rays. Often, however, both imaging modalities may be used in conjunction with one another to evaluate problems.
