Immunizations offered at Stoney Creek Animal Hospital include:

Vaccinations
Puppies should begin their immunization series at 6-8 weeks of age. Booster immunizations are administered every 3 weeks between 6-16 weeks of age. Diseases routinely vaccinated against include distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, parvovirus, bordetella (infectious tracheobronchitis) and rabies. Once the initial vaccination series has been completed, booster vaccinations will be given based on your dog’s needs and risk factors.
Kittens begin their immunizations between 6-8 weeks of age and are vaccinated at 6-8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks of age . Diseases vaccinated against include Feline Rhinotracheitis, panleukopenia, calici virus, feline leukemia and rabies. Future frequency of vaccines is based on your cat’s needs and risk factors.
It is important to know that Rabies vaccination is REQUIRED for dogs and cats in North Carolina by law . Rabies is a fatal disease in both animals and people. Fines and pet confiscation by Animal Control may occur if your pet is involved in a “bite incident” and is not current on rabies vaccination. A “bite incident” does not necessarily imply that your pet has bit someone. It may entail your pet being the victim of a bite by another unvaccinated dog or cat or by wildlife such as a raccoon. Make sure your dog or cat is protected and always CURRENT on rabies vaccination.
